Since 2012, Mojatu Foundation has been delivering inclusive training and employability programmes designed to equip individuals with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to access education, employment, and career progression.

Digital Skills for Employment: Empowering Nottingham’s BAMER Women
Mojatu Foundation is set to deliver the Digital Career Accelerator, a 12-month programme supported by the City & Guilds Foundation, aimed at empowering disadvantaged Black, African, Minority Ethnic and Refugee (BAMER) women in Nottingham. Running from 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2027, the project will support 25 women aged 16 and above, including refugees, asylum seekers, survivors of gender-based violence and female genital mutilation (FGM), and women facing language barriers or social isolation. The programme will provide two staggered 16-week digital skills training cohorts, covering computer confidence, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and digital job-market skills. Participants will also receive practical employment support, including ATS-compliant CV development, LinkedIn profile creation, job board registration, six months of one-to-one mentorship and opportunities to connect with employers through bridging days. Through this initiative, Mojatu Foundation aims to reduce digital exclusion, strengthen employability and help women progress into secure employment, vocational training or work placements. With support from the City & Guilds Foundation, the programme seeks to equip women with the digital knowledge, practical skills and confidence needed to overcome employment barriers and work towards greater economic independence.

Community Mental Health First Aid
Learn to recognize mental health challenges, provide initial support, reduce stigma, and confidently guide individuals to appropriate professional help within communities.
FGM
Raise awareness about FGM, protect girls' rights, prevent harmful practices, support survivors, and promote education, dignity, health, safety, and community advocacy against violence.
