Empowering Communities Through Energy Justice
Mojatu Foundation has launched a 24-month Energy Justice project, funded by Energy Redress, supporting Black, migrant, refugee and other underserved communities experiencing fuel poverty. The project provides free, culturally appropriate energy advice, advocacy, multilingual information and practical support to help households understand their energy rights and access financial assistance.
The project will support 500 households directly and train 15 Community Energy Ambassadors who will provide trusted peer support within their communities. Over the two years, the project aims to benefit around 2,000 people and build longer-term community capacity to tackle fuel poverty and energy inequality.
