Our accomplishments have led to the receipt of several awards:

Our success has been wholly due to the trust and confidence communities and individuals have in as working with and for them, especially when acting a bridge between them and the professionals and statutory bodies.
Secondly our multi-lingual and multi-cultural working is built around service provision which considers the cultural needs of the service users. This has enabled us to succeed in supporting multiple groups including FGM survivors, people with mental health issues, refugees and asylum seekers, and community organisations,
Thirdly, our work is centred around improving lives of girl and woman through education, training, health, safety and opportunity thereby having a positive ripple effect in the society an educated, informed and active mother is often a productive citizen and economically empowered, making her the most influential force in her community to break the cycle of poverty.
Princess Royal Training Award 2021
The award honours employers who have created outstanding training and skills development programmes which have resulted in exceptional benefits. The result is an award that highlights the range and quality of training that exists in industry.
Mojatu Foundation’s rationale for the initiative which achieved the Award, was our ‘End Female Genital Mutilation Together’ campaign. Research on ending FGM found that youths, religious and community leaders were most influential in ending FGM. Our Global Ambassadors for Change Volunteers programme, both Faith Leaders and Youth were engaged in the training, helped tackle misconceptions about religion and FGM, reaching members of the community we would not otherwise have reached.
